From Spitimas follow directions to Mithi and then to Males. After a few kilometres take the direction to Hristos at the crossing. Just past this village, take the small road on the right going up. It is a small unsealed road but is easily accessible with a normal car.
Ierapetra is a small town and municipality situated and the south coast of Crete. It is the most southerly point of Crete and thus also of Greece and Europe.
From Mithi, take direction Viannos. After a few kilometres you will see a left hand turnoff to Kalami. Follow this road down and you will find yourself in this deserted village.
The municipality of Males comprises the villages of Males, Hristos, Metaxohori, Selakano and Mathokotsana. The biggest forested area of Crete, (Selakano) is also is situated in this area.
